Located in the vibrant district of Phra Khanong Nuea, Bangkok, New Mabuhay brings authentic Filipino flavors to the city’s diverse culinary scene. This Filipino restaurant stands out for its dedication to traditional recipes and genuine "lutong bahay" (home-style cooking), offering a taste of the Philippines that resonates deeply with both locals and expats seeking comfort food.

The menu features beloved classics such as kalderetang baka (beef kaldereta), beef nilaga, and beef kare-kare, each dish prepared with rich, layered flavors and hearty ingredients reflective of Filipino culinary heritage. Signature plates like the ginisang sitaw and chicken sisig showcase the restaurant’s range—from comforting stews to vibrant, sizzling dishes. For dessert, the famed halo-halo brings a sweet finish that perfectly balances the savory fare.

The dining experience at New Mabuhay is marked by warm Filipino hospitality. The owners make every effort to create a welcoming atmosphere reminiscent of a family gathering, which pairs well with their home-based setup. Though the location is a bit tucked away from the city’s center, many patrons find the journey worthwhile for the authenticity and quality served. Regular diners tend to agree that while accessibility could improve, nothing quite beats the genuine Filipino taste that New Mabuhay delivers.

I had my dinner at New Mabuhay. The Fried Milk Fish, Pork Adobo and the Kinilaew were flavourful, delicious and excellent quality for home based atmosphere restaurant. I washed them down with the Hot Chinese Traditional Tea served in a ceramic pot. The Filipino hospitality and service are excellent by the owners of New Mabuhay. Thank you to them and OTR Food and History YouTube Channel (Adam Gottschalk) for sharing this exact location of the multiple restaurants in Bangkok on Google Map.
